What’s Your Next Step?
All races begin the same way, one step and then another. It is the same way in our spiritual life. We are taking steps all the time and you may not even be realizing it. We are all on this journey in life. See, Jesus came and said, “Follow Me,” and showed us the steps we should be taking.
All throughout the Bible, God comes into people’s lives and changes them. Zacchaeus went from a thief to giving all he had to the poor, Gideon went from a coward to a mighty warrior, and Jonah went from running away to following God. And they grow and change through God. Growing people change. If we are not changing are we growing or stagnate and regressing in our faith?
So when you take a look at your spiritual life, what step are you at and what is your next step?
So what is your next step? It may be one of these or something else completely. Jesus told us to “Follow me” - not that He would take us all to where we want to be, but that He would be there with us along the way. Guiding us where He wants to take us. God loves us too much to leave us the same way that we came to Him. No one is completely done growing in this life. One of our greatest mistakes is saying that we are done growing and do not need to grow any more. So what’s your next step in your relationship with God?
