What To Do After Camp Week?
So you’ve been at Church camp the last week, and you’re asking yourself, “What now?” What do you do now?
When a baby bird is first born its mother goes searching for food. After finding food, it brings it back to the baby. Before it gives the food to the baby, it chews it up so that the baby can just swallow the food and get the nourishment.
When someone is taken into the hospital after being malnourished or dehydrated, they are given an IV of nutrients and liquids to help boost them back to full health. This IV helps deliver exactly what the body needs directly into the blood.
Camp is sort of like a momma bird or an IV that supercharges us. It is a concentrated time for us to get this spiritual food and puts us on a spiritual high, but what happens when we get to the end of the week and we have to go home? What happens when we get back to a crummy home life? A bad relationship? Real life? What are we supposed to do when we get back into real life and we don’t have this spiritual IV that we did?
After camp, we need to do a few key things that will help keep us from crashing back into our old habits and into life’s circumstances.
Pastor Levi's thoughts on Christianity and Christians. I will try to update this every Monday.
