So last week we talked about 4 ways to know if someone if date-able, but how do you know if you are someone that is date-able?
Here are 3 steps to become more date-able:
1. Hunger after God more than anything
Keep hungering after God.If you are seeking Him first and put him first in your life, the rest will come after and fall into place. This means that you are actively reading God’s Word, you are actively praying and talking to God, and you are listening to God daily.
2. Be humble and kind
This means that when you walk into a room, you are not saying who can I be noticed by ask who can I serve, who can I encourage and who can I love on? Instead of drawing attention to yourself, how are you being humble and pointing others away from yourself and towards God?
3. Work hard
Marriage and relationships are hard work. They take time, intentionality, and our resources. So learn how to work hard now, because marriage and a relationship isn’t easy guys. When we let hard work cover all of our life, it please God, and others around us. This means working hard with your hands or with your head in all things. Don’t expect someone who doesn’t work hard with their hands or heard with their heads through the week to work hard for your heart. (Proverbs 14:4)
So what are we doing to prepare ourselves to be more date-able? Are we seeking God first, being humble and kind, and working hard? All of these can be seen in the story of Ruth and Naomi and how Ruth acts when she is single. (Ruth 2)
